We’re here to support you, your loved ones, and your doctor in your search for
information to help you make decisions about your health care.
We know that people who learn about their health problems and participate in
decisions about their care gain a sense of control that is vitally important to
improving their health. Whether you’re looking for answers to questions or
trying to find the right questions to ask, you’ve come to the right place.
-
In the Health Library,
the core of the Support Center, you’ll find accurate, up-to-date information
about health problems, their diagnosis, and their treatment. You’ll meet people
who have been faced with the same kinds of health concerns and decisions that
you are facing. And you’ll find lists of questions that you might want to ask
your doctor or other members of your health care team before you receive any
test or treatment.
-
In the Family Room,
you’ll find information to help you and your loved ones understand the many
different ways in which cancer affects individuals and their families.
-
In the Resource Room,
we’ll point you to organizations outside the Support Center that provide a
variety of services for people who have a serious illness or are caring for
someone who does. In the future, the Resource Room will be expanded to include
a specialty physician locator, on-line book store, and other valuable services.
